Psoriasis is an inflammatory skin condition that can vary in severity. Mild cases of psoriasis appear with just a few spots, but more severe cases can cover large areas of the body.  Psoriasis often presents with “continents” of silver, flaky skin on the scalp, elbows, knees, and trunk.  Nails can be affected (often appearing “dimpled”) and some people develop arthritis from this condition.
